Sustainability

We believe in respecting and working with nature instead of against it.

Every garment has a story, a cost and an impact.

It's on us to rethink the way we do ours, always guaranteeing sustainable practices. That’s why we work every day to build an ethical supply chain that creates high-quality, low-impact, long-lasting products.

Our Conscious Journey

When we start our design process we always think about creating clothes to stand the test of time. Our clothes are not designed to be relevant only for a season, but instead, garments from different collections can be used together because the design is consistent, year after year. This allows us to provide solutions less impactful for the environment and at the same time, it creates a statement about the design itself.

To produce our garments, we carefully select factories with an honest environment based in the north of Portugal. We also choose our partners according to their level of technological innovation and their sustainability practices. All the manufacturing processes of our fabrics are ecological since they imply a lower expenditure on water and energy. Everything is made in the north of Portugal, we also minimize the need for transports and shipments.

Our Commitment

We carefully consider our materials and work with our production partners to reduce waste, chemicals, and plastics that endanger our planet’s ecosystems. Our timeless pieces are designed to last — so when you buy one of our clothing you are making a choice that will positively impact in the world.

Responsible Fabrics

We handpick every single fabric based on its environmental footprint and lifetime durability.

Our clothes are made from recycled, natural, renewable, organic, biodegradable and European fabrics. 100% of our textiles are Oeko-Tex® Certified, this means that they are tested for no harmful chemicals and substances.

ECONYL® regenerated nylon

Performs exactly the same as brand new nylon but gives you a sustainability edge, turning trash into treasure.

For every 10,000 tons of ECONYL® raw material, we are able to:

-  Save 70,000 barrels of crude oil

- Avoid 65,100 tonnes of CO2 eq. emissions

- Reduce the global warming impact of nylon by up to 90% compared with the material from oil.

Organic Cotton

Organic cotton is cotton that is produced and certified to organic agricultural standards. Its production sustains the health of soils, ecosystems and people by using natural processes rather than artificial inputs.

- Reduces environmental footprint

- Not allows the use of toxic chemicals or GMOs (genetically modified organisms)

- Uses 88% less water and 62% less energy

Reco Nylon®

Reco Nylon is a recycled nylon 6 yarn 100% made of pre-consumer waste. The production of Reco Nylon generates approximately 9 times less CO2 emissions than a standard production of nylon 6.

A production of 1 ton. of Reco Nylon reduces the emissions of an equivalent to:

- CO2 produced by 265.451 cell phones being charged

- CO2 produced a car driving 8.191 km

- CO2 absorbed by 101.000 m2 of forest in a year

Our journey to circularity continues, with the goal to have a responsible wardrobe that can last for long years and to improve our sustainable practices every year.
